History of the Capri Foundation

The Capri Foundation is the legacy of Joe Carpisassi Sr., after a long career in corporate purchasing he established Capri Associates in the early stages of his retirement. This consulting group served to continue relationships with business leaders throughout the world for mutual profit. Mr. Carpisassi’s goals in business were in place to continue provide for his family in the pursuit of their dreams. After his passing in July of 2006, his children have transformed his former business into a non-profit foundation with a charity mission. The foundation will continue to establish relationships with business leaders to provide for community with the same passion he embodied while providing for his family and business associates throughout his life.

Mission of the Capri Foundation

The Capri Foundation is a new non-profit organization with a mission to provide opportunities for youth. The foundation’s initiatives support and develop programs to address the physical, psychological, educational, and social needs of children as they transition into adulthood.

Current Focus Initiatives

Sporting/lifestyle

The foundation will financially support endurance sports programs for children in order to ensure a healthy future. In addition, the program will provide support to existing organizations that place an emphasis on sports and their therapeutic nature in combating childhood obesity and developmental disabilities.

Education/Scholarship

The foundation will raise funds to offer financial support for educational, nutritional and therapeutic programs for children challenged by developmental disabilities.
