History
In July 2006, Joe Carpisassi lost his closest friend and supporter of his career in sport, when his father Joe Carpisassi Sr. past away at age 59. In their last conversations they discussed options for taking Joe’s racing to the next level and the possibility of developing a team to take some of the best young riders in the area to the top of the sport by “getting them on the same page”.
In light of the loss, Joe Jr. has decided to embody his father’s passion for sport and charity by starting a development racing team as a voice for the Carpi Foundation Charity. Joe plans to use all of his energy to foster the success of the best young motivated cyclist in the region with the same passion his father had for providing a foundation for his success in sports.
Each rider on the team has been hand selected for both the quality of their character and the depth of their talent/potential. The riders all strongly embrace the ideals of Foundation's Charity as well as the Cycling teams competetive mission and plan to commit serious time and energy to both causes.
The goal of this team will be to take this versatile and driven group of young riders to Continental Pro level by 2009. In the process these young men will promote the benifits of endurance sports to youth by being active in the production of events. The members of the team and its staff plan to raise thousands of dollars each year the Capri Foundation charity initiatives.
