John DiGiovanni

John graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Marketing. Between 1999 and 2004 John worked in the Online Acquisition Marketing group at America Online (AOL). At AOL John spent time managing online and Internet based registration programs for AOL and Compuserve. Through the various programs he worked on, he generated over 500,000 new AOL members, managed vendors and ad agencies, internal resources and managed marketing’s stake in client distribution over the Internet.

After two and a half years of working on the business side of his group, John switched gears and became involved in the IT end of his groups goals. He designed, developed and implemented creative for the web-based registration used for AOL narrowband and broadband. Additionally, he worked on AOL Sign on a Friend, AOL by Phone, AOL Mobile Communicator, AOL Call Alert and AOL Voicemail. He developed the first US non-English registration platform for AOL narrowband registration and worked on user interfaces for AOL Partner web registration platforms.

John left AOL in 2004 to pursue medical school. John was a competitive runner at the University of Maryland who left that sport due to injury and took up road racing in the summer of 2006 and currently is focused on his riding to one day be able to join the Foundation Cycling Team on the road. John's deep interest in the charity mission of the foundation make him a key asset to the group.
