Peter Hollis, O.D.
Founder - Doctor's Vision Center

Peter brings a wealth of business knowledge and plans to assist the foundation in its charity initiative, as well as, advising both the foundation and its cycling team on allocation of financial resources. Peter currently serves as the Vice President for Product Development and Medical Director for EyeAmerica, an eye care practice management company providing services to over 160 optometric and 13 ophthalmologic practices in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee. An alumnus of the New England College of Optometry, Peter was in private practice in North Carolina for over 20 years. He is the founder of Doctors Vision Center, an optometric/medical (OD/MD) professional association with 75 practices in North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. Although he no longer practices, he still maintains an active management role with both Doctors Vision Center and EyeAmerica.

Peter has been an active runner and cyclist for many years. In the past 4 years he has turned mostly to cycling where he spends many of his off hours as a member of both the East Carolina Velo club and the Bicycle Post racing team. An avid mountain bike racer and sometime road racer he has won the SC State Mountain Bike Championship twice in the Sport category (2004 and 2006) and recently won the NORBA National #2, Showdown at Sugar in Sport 50-54. He’s now planning on moving up to Masters Expert in 2007.
